Implementation of electronic invoice

Our Etairos team is accompanying American Tower Latin America companies in the implementation of their electronic invoicing processes.

The Electronic Billing model in Colombia was adopted through Decree 2242 of 2015, compiled in the Sole Regulatory Decree 1625 of 2016, and its main objective is to achieve mass use of electronic invoicing in Colombia.

All companies declared by the DIAN as large taxpayers and businesses that voluntarily decided to adapt to the process are required to invoice electronically, having as maximum term July 1, 2018 to have implemented this new modality. The other companies will have a maximum term of January 1, 2019.

In December 2007 ATC companies in Colombia decided to apply as volunteers to implement this process, defining a schedule that establishes going live with the electronic invoicing operation on June 1, 2018, in order to anticipate the regulations required by the Colombian tax authority (DIAN) and enter the electronic world in which there are already other companies of this organization with presence in countries such as Mexico, Chile and Peru.

The implementation project led by Etairos consultants and internal IT staff at ATC has progressed satisfactorily in its different stages of design and construction, being currently in the phase of comprehensive testing of the solution.

Etairos has successfully supported the implementation of this process in ATC for the different countries that already have this requirement. In this way, our team will continue working intensively to achieve this new goal, allowing ATC Colombia to start to invoice electronically one month before the DIAN requests it.
